Woodhead appointed as main Contractor for phase works at Hardwick Hall
Robert Woodhead Ltd have been appointed as main contractor for roofing and structural works to the Stableyard at Hardwick Hall. This is the first phase of the National Trust’s project to convert the disused farm buildings into a new shop, restaurant and other new visitor facilities.
The project will run from September to May 2010. Works include stripping and replacing the Stone slated roofs, and undertaking extensive timber works to the roof structure.
The barns themselves range in date from the 17th to 19th Century, and are Grade II and Grade II* listed.
